  The Fighting Lady of WWII. A majestic ship in her own right, now dwarfed by modern aircraft carriers. They have made a lot of modern improvements between my last visit, in 1999, and my most recent one, in March of 2018. Each of them beautiful and worthy of the ship who saw so much action.
  
  The Medal of Honor museum is worth seeing on the inside. Provided you are not claustrophobic or stand over 6'1" tall, so are each of the 6 self-guided tour routes you can walk along. Be careful not to drop your cell phone when you are traversing the engine room; you'll never get it back.
  
  Be prepared to spend a semi-pretty penny here. Just remember that it is going to a good cause. I recommend trying out some food at the galley in the ship, and a challenge coin from the gift shop. Talk with the volunteers, as they really make the experience worth the trip.
  
  Gone in the past, will go again if I get the chance.
